Booking & pricing

How do I book a tattoo at Kvitka?
Send us a message on Instagram @kvitka.tattoo.studio. That's the fastest way to reach our studio manager. You can also email tattooing@kvitkastudio.com. Share your idea, placement, approximate size and any reference images, and we'll guide you from there.

How much does a tattoo cost?
Every tattoo is custom, so pricing depends on design, size and placement. Each artist sets her own rates, and our studio manager confirms every estimate with the artist. You'll always receive your estimate in writing, as a clear range or a "starting at" price, before any deposit is taken.

Is there a deposit?
Yes. A $100 deposit confirms your appointment. It's non-refundable and goes toward your tattoo. You can transfer it to a new date once; a second reschedule requires a new deposit.

Do you take walk-ins?
We work by appointment only, so every client has the artist's full attention. Message us on Instagram to find a time.

Before your appointment

How old do I need to be?
You must be 18 or older. No exceptions, and we don't tattoo minors with parental consent.

How should I prepare?
Get a good night's sleep, eat a full meal and drink plenty of water. Shower and shave the area. Avoid sun exposure and tanning for two weeks before your session, and don't use retinoids on the area for six weeks before and during healing. Please don't drink alcohol before your appointment.

What should I wear?
Comfortable, loose clothing that gives easy access to the area. For ribs, a high-waisted crop top works well. For arms and wrists, skip bracelets and tight sleeves. For the neck and collarbone, leave necklaces at home. Tight clothing can leave marks on the skin and affect stencil placement.

Can I take medication before my tattoo?
Avoid blood-thinning medications before your session. If you take them by prescription, let your artist know in advance.

Can I bring a friend?
To keep the space calm and focused, guests can't stay during the session. A friend is welcome to help you review the design and placement before you start, then step out once tattooing begins.

At the studio

Where are you located?
833 W Chicago Ave, Suite 501, Chicago, IL 60642, in West Town, minutes from downtown.

Is the studio clean and safe?
Always. We use single-use needles and ink caps, sterilize all reusable equipment, and fully clean every station between clients. We follow Chicago and Illinois health regulations, and our studio license is displayed in the studio.

How long will my session take?
It depends on the size and detail of your design. Small pieces can take about an hour; larger work may take several hours or multiple sessions. Your artist will give you an estimate during your consultation.

Does it hurt?
Everyone feels it differently, and it depends on placement. Most clients describe it as a manageable discomfort. Our space is designed to help you relax: calm music, coffee, tea and water, and you're welcome to bring snacks.

Can I film or take photos during my session?
Of course. Just let your artist know first, so she can be ready for the camera.

Aftercare & healing

How do I care for my new tattoo?
Follow our step-by-step aftercare guide. Your artist will also walk you through it before you leave.

Do you offer touch-ups?

Yes. Touch-ups start at $50. Fine line tattoos are delicate, and sometimes a line or two needs a little refreshing once your skin has fully healed.
